Today is the day I start something new: photo blogging. I've decided to blog about my shoots so y'all can get a better idea of my process and who I am working with. (And so I can keep track of everyone I have been working with.)
So here's a little background about myself:
I'm Allee. I'm a recent graduate of Arcadia University's Fine Arts Program, where I concentrated in Photography. My love for photography started in eighth grade when I first took a picture of my cousin under my parents' Japanese Maple Tree. (I thought it was the greatest picture ever, and at that point in my life, it was.) From that moment forward, I decided I wanted to pursue photography.
When I had the opportunity to attend a technical high school during my junior and senior years, I jumped into Commercial Art, a course that was fast paced and made me feel like I was working in the industry. The curriculum focused on graphic design, commercial illustration, and of course (commercial) photography, with which I fell in love.
My primary focus has always been portrait photography, but after spending a summer in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa, I found love in the landscapes and decided to experiment with panoramas. Even though I still work mainly in portraiture, I still love to work with panoramic landscapes.
When I am not photographing, you can find me spending time with my family, my dog, or my cats, or at the park reading a good book. (My camera is never too far behind, though, no matter where I am.)
I hope this (brief) look into my life has been exciting for y'all.
I can't wait to start blogging about shoots and keep everyone updated.
